Seven of those health issues are known to affect Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Every Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy we breed is safe from six of them: DM, EIC, VWD1, EIC, PRA-RCD3, & D Locus. The newest 7th test is IVDD and scientists estimate 95% of Pembroke Welsh Corgis in the world are At Risk with 2 bad genes, 4.5% At Risk with 1 bad gene and 1 good gene, and only half a percent of Pembroke Welsh Corgis in the world are safe with 2 good genes. According to the largest DNA lab in the US, we own the most Pembroke Welsh Corgis in the nation with 2 good genes and 1 good gene to breed out IVDD. We've traced the ancestry of our AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis to the 1920s. Some of our Pembroke Welsh Corgis are descendants of the 1st Registered Pembroke Welsh Corgi in the United Kingdom, who was owned by the founder of the 1st Corgi Club in the world. Plus some of our Pembroke Welsh Corgis are related to the male that fathered Queen Elizabeth's first Pembroke Welsh Corgi, her second Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and the first AKC Champion Pembroke Welsh Corgi in the United States. We also found that some of our Pembroke Welsh Corgi are related to the male that fathered Queen Elizabeth's first litter of Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies, and also the male that fathered her second litter of Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies. We've also studied the original breed standards, and how they've changed over the years. Our knowledge of Pembroke Welsh Corgis cannot be beat.
